Becoming an independent teacherpreneur can be both exciting and, at times, overwhelming. As a teacherpreneur, you must prepare much more than you would when working with a school or a company. Here, we’ll show you how to handle operational challenges as an independent teacherpreneur (like setting rates, creating policies, writing a curriculum, etc.) so that you’re ready to set out on your independent career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Independent English teaching generally follows one of three paths. You can freelance for an online language school, which handles bookings and payments while you teach on a flexible, contract basis. You can teach through an online teacher marketplace<\/a>, where a platform connects you with students who book and pay you directly. Or you can build a fully independent business as a teacherpreneur, sourcing your own students and managing every part of the business yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
