Teaching working professionals English has given me the best of both worlds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why did you choose to get TEFL certified&nbsp;and how did you choose the <a href=\"https:\/\/bridge.edu\/tefl\/courses\/online\/120-hour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">120-hour Bridge Master Certificate<\/a> course?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I chose to get my TEFL certificate because I wanted to gain the knowledge and skills to be successful in teaching English as a second language. Did you have to apply for a visa?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I found my job with <a href=\"https:\/\/bridge.edu\/tefl\/jobs\/company\/18430\/Italy-Milan-The+Language+Grid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Language Grid<\/a> in a classified ad in an English speaking publication. I am fortunate to be a dual citizen and did not require a visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can you tell us more about your job there?&nbsp;What kind of school is The Language Grid?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Language Grid (TLG) is an innovative training company that offers English language programs specifically for business and finance professionals. Everything is orientated around helping individuals and businesses achieve the goals that matter. TLG operates in Milan, Rome, and Turin, but also has a team of trainers that work remotely elsewhere in Italy and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bridge.edu\/tefl\/courses\/specialized\/teaching-business-english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Learn about earning Specialized TEFL\/TESOL Certification in Teaching Business English.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s a typical workday like for you?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are working professionals. The primary part of my job is conducting video lessons. I have the pleasure to work from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Did your BridgeTEFL course prepare you to teach? If so, in what ways?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/bridge.edu\/tefl\/courses\/online\/120-hour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">120-hour BridgeTEFL online course<\/a> and my instructor were very helpful. I learned great methods and theory that have allowed me to be an excellent teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5883\" src=\"https:\/\/bridge.edu\/tefl\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Jennifer-Landini_IMG_3146-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Jennifer Landini, English Teacher in Rome enjoying Italian food\" width=\"481\" height=\"641\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How has your experience in Rome been outside of class?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Rome is a beautiful city and I have enjoyed living here very much. There is a large international community that has made me feel welcome and at home. I have been traveling and taking advantage of being in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What recommendation do you have for someone&nbsp;who wants to teach in Italy?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I would recommend learning about the different schools and the opportunities that they offer.&nbsp; I have discovered that <a href=\"https:\/\/bridge.edu\/tefl\/jobs\/company\/18430\/Italy-Milan-The+Language+Grid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Language Grid<\/a> is one of the best.
