-Teach in the exciting city of Chonburi and explore Thailand
Our public middle & high School is now holding interviews for English teachers to join us in the fascinating city of Chonburi, located on the eastern coast of Thailand. If you are a creative teacher, have an interest in an authentic Thai school setting and can deliver learner centered, engaging lessons then we are interested in speaking with you.
We seek foreign teachers to enhance our public middle and high schools' English development to keep pace with the fast-moving development of the world. The English program is a highly respected program at our school and the students must be tested to be placed into it.
Teaching materials and resources are provided by the school and are targeted to the age of the students being taught. Teachers will be teaching students aged from 13 to 18 years old on a Monday to Friday schedule with a maximum of 20 teaching hours per week. Materials follow the Thai national school curriculum and our own developed programs. Teachers are encouraged to adapt and supplement the materials where need be to ensure classes are engaging and interesting.
Our goal is to internationalize education in the public sector, and create a relaxed and friendly environment to enable students to gain confidence in their spoken English. We take professionalism in teaching seriously, and as part of that offer regular professional development sessions to assist our staff in their own development, enabling them to reach higher standards both in the short term and in the future. If you are looking for adventure in Thailand, with all these amazing beaches, breathtaking natural scenery and inspiring culture, then we warmly welcome you on board!
Teacher’s Blog Reviews
“I’m finally feeling very settled in. School has been such a whirlwind and very, very interesting, to say the least. Initially, I felt very overwhelmed. Overtime I’ve learned that the EP Program is a very highly respected program that the students must test and be placed into. Not only must they score the highest on their tests to be placed, if they’re selected they must also pay tuition if they wish to take classes within the program. This tuition is why the English Program is able to get so many foreign teachers (we have around 10)…” Lauren
“Lindsay and I were talking about how quickly our days at school fly by here in Chonburi. Back at home the weeks seemed to drag on…We decided that the main reason there is such a difference is because of how different our lives are. Teaching in Thailand, at least right now, is anything but routine. I feel like I am equal parts actor, teacher, friend, dictator, and general entertainer during any given class. I do really enjoy what I do, and I’m glad that we’re here…” Rachel Farish
