Originally from Barbados and currently residing in Mexico, I joined BridgeEnglish in August 2021. Holding teaching qualifications such as Teaching IELTS Exam Preparation, Teaching Business English, and CELTA, I embrace a student-centered approach. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a positive and supportive environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning. Incorporating cultural elements, I discuss differences between students’ cultures and my own, fostering understanding through topics like music, art, and food. To engage students, I emphasize relevance by connecting lesson concepts to their lives, interests, experiences, and goals. This approach aligns with my belief that making learning meaningful enhances student motivation and participation.
