Francisca Monsalve, English Teacher

Francisca was born in Paris, France, of Chilean parents, has travelled extensively, and lived all over the world. She holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Hampshire College, Amherst, and is TEFL certified. She has worked as a translator, proofreader, copy editor and language instructor, with over 10 years of experience teaching ESL to both young and adult learners. Francisca’s teaching philosophy is underpinned by a strong belief in creating a safe environment for her students, as well as motivating and inspiring them to achieve their best. She is an avid birder and nature enthusiast, a keen reader – particularly of late 20th-century Argentine literature – and the proud owner of two cats.
