As a Nigerian residing in Nigeria, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, an International Diploma in English Language Teaching, and an Advanced Methods in Teaching English Online Certificate. Commencing my journey with BridgeEnglish in June 2023, my teaching career spans four years of online English instruction and nine years in traditional classrooms. Fluent in English and my native language Ibo, a notable success story stems from Maria, a dedicated student from Brazil. Initially possessing limited English proficiency, Maria’s determination led to remarkable progress. Through intensive online sessions, we worked on grammar, vocabulary, and interview skills. Ultimately, Maria secured a job at an international company, attributing her success to our virtual lessons. This experience exemplifies the transformative impact of online education, breaking geographical barriers and demonstrating the potential for significant positive change in students’ lives.
