Mak, originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina and currently residing in Sarajevo, began teaching with Bridge in May 2024. Holding a Master’s degree in English Literature and Culture, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in English language, Mak’s teaching approach is deeply influenced by his diverse educational background. With experience in both an Economic high school and as a teaching assistant at an entrepreneurial university, Mak’s focus often gravitates towards business-related topics. He prioritizes understanding each student’s unique learning style, background, and personality to create an optimal learning environment. For intermediate and advanced learners, Mak employs a communicative teaching method, emphasizing practical language application. He strongly advocates for active engagement in language usage, believing in the maxim “practice makes perfect.” Additionally, Mak leverages connections between the student’s native language and English, facilitating memorization and comprehension, particularly if both languages share a common root.
