Shaunacey Thom, originally from the Midwestern United States, has a double major in Spanish and International Studies with an emphasis on Latin America and social and cultural change. Her education and hands-on experience with the challenges of learning a second language facilitates a multicultural perspective, which enables her to adapt to a variety of classroom settings. Further, her sensitivity to the nature of social and cultural shifts enables greater student-teacher connection as she stays connected to the changing values of upcoming generations, creating an environment of enhanced learning and shared connections and understanding. In addition to her four years of classroom experience teaching English as a second language, Shaunacey is TEFL certified.
