Panelists

Katrina González Landa
Katrina has been with the American College of Education since 2011. Over the years she has played a key role in Program development in the Teaching and Learning department and she has served in a variety of roles such as Adjunct and Core Faculty Member, Teaching and Learning Program Coordinator, and Writing Center Faculty Advisor. She received a master's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), both from the University of Miami in Florida. She earned her Doctorate in Special Education from Florida International University where she completed a dissertation examining reading fluency and comprehension in elementary ESOL students. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys hiking, walking, and spending time with her husband, her daughters, and her pets: a growing school of guppies and her big and gentle dog.
Alecsander Piazza
Alecsander Piazza is a passionate English teacher and coach who believes learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable. After beginning his career teaching children, he successfully transitioned into the field of Business English, where he helps professionals communicate with clarity and confidence. Fluent in four languages, Alecsander uses his multilingual experience to guide students in expressing themselves naturally in English. Dedicated to lifelong learning, he has completed more than 440 hours of TEFL/TESOL certification with Bridge and continues to expand his expertise. He also leads information sessions to help aspiring teachers find the Bridge certification course that best fits their goals.
