Teaching in a public or parochial elementary or high school in Hungary. Class size is 15-20 students. Teaching consists of 26 classroom hours per week, Monday through Friday. You are responsible for developing your own lesson plans, though you will work in conjunction with the school's English department.
Requirements & Qualifications
Our teachers must be citizens of the US, Canada, or the EU. (We are waiting to receive confirmation that the UK will have a teaching reciprocity agreement with Hungary.)
We accept teachers of all ages, though good hearing is a requirement. A good sense of humor is always a bonus, plus patience and willingness to adapt to a way of life that may differ from your own.
Salary & Benefits
Besides the national teacher’s salary, our teachers all are provided a private, fully-furnished apartment with utilities paid, plus the national health insurance. We also provide a nearly weeklong intensive orientation in Budapest before the start of the semester, and our teachers have the help of our wonderful Hungarian director, Hajni Vancsik, who will be there for you whenever needed.
