Kalaivani Pallavanraja
Kalaivani Pallavanraja is an entrepreneur and BridgeEnglish teacher and mentor. Based in India, she combines her Bridge training of corporate clients with language training of employees in her family business and tutoring her children. She has been blending family business duties with language training of employees for more than a decade and speaks five languages. A firm believer in the student-centered classroom, she applies multiple instructional approaches that encourage growth and confidence in her students. A lifelong traveler, she also encourages discussions of cultural practices, building rapport with students while also growing intercultural and interpersonal skills in the classroom.
Rachel Story
Rachel Story, a Bridge instructor and English Teacherpreneur, is a nomadic ESL teacher originally from Tennessee. In 2010, she moved to China to begin teaching ESL. For five years, she taught at a variety of schools and training centers in Beijing and Kunming. In 2016, she began teaching English online with VIPKid and traveling full-time. Since then, she has been teaching, traveling, and living around the world with her husband Sasha. Together they document their travels and teach others how to become traveling teachers on their blog.
Lynn Gonzalez
Lynn is a writer, voice-over artist and online ESL tutor. After working in brick and mortar settings with elementary-aged children as well as university students, she found her passion for teaching English as a Second Language at Cambly, an online ESL conversation platform. Over the past 8 years, she has become a top-rated SuperTutor and has formed friendships with her students from all across the world. In her spare time, she can be found with her miniature American Eskimo dog Daphne, making friends with woodland creatures, and dancing at the beach to 80’s music.
Shélynn Riel
Shélynn Riel is Bridge's Expert Series Moderator and regularly contributes articles and ELT news reports to the BridgeUniverse blog. She has served as an English language instructor for over a decade, a program coordinator in both university and community-based programs, and an English Language Fellow with the U.S. Department of State. Her interests include holistic teacher development, learner identity, and decolonial ethics in the language classroom. She is the co-creator of The Teacher Think-Aloud Podcast, which focuses on reflective practices for teachers around the world.
