Dr. Lisa A. Frumkes
Dr. Lisa A. Frumkes, Director of Content & Curriculum for Duolingo, has worked at the intersection of languages, technology, and education since 1989. A lifelong language learner, she has studied over a dozen languages. She has worked in K-12, higher ed, and adult education and has led technology-enhanced content- and curriculum-development efforts at Apex Learning and Rosetta Stone, as well as supported such efforts at a variety of colleges and universities. Lisa serves on the board of the Computer-Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO) and the council of the International Association for Language Teaching Technology (IALLT).
Dr. Tracee Miller
Dr. Tracee Miller, Senior Community Marketing Manager at Duolingo, completed her PhD in Education Policy and Leadership in 2020, with a focus on racial bias in technology use in St. Louis high schools. Before transitioning into EdTech, Dr. Miller was a teacher, instructional coach, and member of the Board of Education in St. Louis Public Schools, where she also had the opportunity to partner with schools across USA as an academic program manager. Prior to joining Duolingo, she was Partnerships Manager at ClassDojo, and Community and Support Lead at Khan Academy.
Nora Gordon
Nora Gordon is Curriculum Designer at Duolingo and holds a B.A. in Romance Languages and Literatures and an M.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language. Before joining Duolingo in 2020, Nora was a full-time language educator, teaching middle school Spanish in Oakland, California. She also taught EFL to students in grades K-12 as a Peace Corps volunteer in Riobamba, Ecuador.

Ian Wright is the inaugural director of BridgeUniverse, Bridge Education Group’s media, research, and news division. Wright spearheads efforts to fill the gap in the understanding of trends and opportunities in the rapidly growing English Language Teaching (ELT) industry. He brings over 20 years of education industry knowledge, university leadership, and consulting experience in international education and student enrollment management, including as Director of International Admissions at Long Island University – Post, Director of Partnerships at World Education Services (WES), and as University Relations Manager for Prodigy Finance.
