The most effective educators are always learning – that’s why continuing professional development (CPD), through workshops or teacher training programs, is so important for English language teachers. These programs help teachers stay on top of the latest teaching methodology, learn actionable techniques to engage their students, and specialize their skills in relevant areas. In addition, CPD can support teachers who are tackling new challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, such as shifting to teaching English online or in a hybrid (online and in-person) setting.

The English Teacher Empowerment Scholarship, which will be granted to approximately 25 teachers, was created to provide English language educators in Argentina and Costa Rica with the skills they need to meet the challenges of shifting to the online or hybrid classroom, especially when teaching young learners and teens.
