In our new workshop, you’ll discover strategies to leverage your learners’ existing knowledge across languages, foster multilingual practices, navigate the science of reading, and enhance oral language skills. Additionally, you’ll learn how to build practical classroom routines that ensure meaningful engagement with texts, boosting comprehension and overall reading ability.
Watch your students’ confidence grow as their reading and oracy skills improve. They’ll take pride in their home languages and see them as assets in their learning journey. Your classroom will become a space where every learner feels valued and empowered.
This online workshop takes place 7:00- 8:30 p.m. ET from 02-06 June 2025 and will cover the following topics:
Day 1: Celebrating Multiliteracies
Day 2: Science of Reading and Multilingual Learners
Day 3: Oral Language as Foundation for Literacy
Day 4: Scaffolding Comprehension
Day 5: Classroom Routines for Participation
All sessions will be recorded and available on the TESOL Canvas platform for participants for a month following the workshop.
Once you complete the workshop, you’ll receive a digital badge you can share online! An electronic certificate of completion can be provided upon request.
