About the Conference

The 21st AsiaTEFL International Conference (AsiaTEFL 2023) is an in-person event in DCC, Daejeon, South Korea.

Purpose

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of AsiaTEFL, the 21st AsiaTEFL International Conference will reflect on the past, examine the present, and anticipate the future of English language teaching (ELT) in Asia. Presenters are encouraged to bring any issues that have attracted the attention of ELT practitioners, policymakers, and researchers in Asia over the past two decades. The aim of this 2023 conference is two-fold: (a) to suggest visions for and aspirations of ELT in Asian contexts, and (b) to foster closer friendships and tighter networks among scholars and practitioners whose work involves ELT policies or practices relevant to Asian contexts or students.
