We’re proud to announce the launch of three new Bridge Micro-credentials, the latest courses in our continually growing portfolio.
What are Bridge Micro-credential courses?
Micro-credentials offer short, targeted training on practical TEFL/TESOL topics, putting professional development within reach for all English teachers, worldwide. These 10 to 30-hour courses are designed for TEFL/TESOL-certified or experienced teachers looking to expand their knowledge of current teaching methods or gain new skills.
Micro-credential courses focus on practical topics that teachers can immediately apply to the classroom, such as using videos or podcasts to teach English, or methods for effective error correction. Best of all, these courses are accessible to all teachers, since they’re completely online.
New Bridge Micro-credentials
Our three new online TEFL courses are aimed at teachers in non-traditional settings as well as service-minded teachers.
Teaching English as a Volunteer
This course prepares teachers for the unique role of teaching English in a cross-cultural, volunteer setting. You’ll develop practical skills and get the global perspective needed to effect positive change in the community you serve.
Teaching English with Low Resources
This TEFL course provides creative, affordable techniques for teachers working in low-resource settings. Learn to create a rich learning experience for your students, even if your school has a limited budget, you’re teaching in a remote location, or you’re teaching from home.
Teaching English as a Christian Service
This course was developed in partnership with Crown College and can be taken as part of a pathway to further study at this private Christian institution. For teachers planning to do missionary work, the course provides the skills to adapt to a new environment as a teacher and impact the host community in culturally appropriate ways.
Other Bridge Micro-credentials
In addition to these new courses, Bridge offers a large portfolio of Micro-credentials on a variety of relevant topics, including a suite of courses related to teaching English online. Some other Micro-credential topics include:

Dynamic content
Clickable practice quizzes and fun exercises in every module take your training beyond simply reading about a topic.
Downloadable resources
Colorful infographics and other useful resources are available to download, save, and refer back to when you’re teaching.
Interactive discussion boards
The course includes a collaborative peer discussion board to share ideas and experiences with other trainees. You’ll benefit from the perspectives of our global community of teachers who span all experience levels and who are located in countries worldwide.

What are the requirements to take Bridge Micro-credential courses?
There are no prerequisites to take a Bridge Micro-credential course. However, because they’re professional development courses (rather than initial TEFL/TESOL certification courses that provide a foundation in teaching English), these courses are best suited for teachers who are already certified and/or have teaching experience.
If you decide to take a Micro-credential course:
Bridge Micro-credentials are stepping stones on your path to professional development. We invite you to enroll in one or more Micro-credential courses to upskill as an educator, distinguish yourself professionally, and demonstrate competence in specific areas of TEFL/TESOL.
