About Mexico City

Mexico City

Mexico City has been and continues to be Mexico’s very heart as well as the historical and cultural capital of the Americas. Since its foundation by the Aztecs in 1325, it has been a meeting place for diverse cultures. Like most cosmopolitan cities, Mexico City offers a wide variety of cultural events, shopping areas and tourist attractions. Between CELTA classes, visit the museums to see some amazing collections that depict the evolution of Mexico’s art and history, from the pre-Hispanic era to present day.

If shopping is your thing, the city has numerous bazaars, plazas, malls and exclusive boutiques where you’ll find crafts, brand-name clothes and jewelry. In the neighborhoods of Coyoacan and San Angel, you can enjoy a bohemian atmosphere, while in Santa Fe and Polanco you’ll experience the glamour of the boutiques and modern hotels.

About the TEFL Training Center

  • Central location: The CELTA training center is located in Colonia Condesa, a neighborhood dating back to the turn of the 20th century. Lovely homes from that period, as well as modern buildings and parks can be found in this charming area.
  • Great facilities: The school is housed in a colonial building with 10 classrooms, a beautiful terrace where students can sit to enjoy time together, and two computer rooms with Internet access.
  • Accommodation available near the school: Home stay for approximately USD $870-$1,000/4 weeks or shared apartment for approximately USD $500-$1,200/4 weeks. View options here.
